At Calm-Escape, your well-being doesn’t end when your treatment does. Aftercare is an important part of the healing process and helps you get the most from your session. Following these simple tips can enhance the benefits of your treatment and support your body’s natural recovery and balance.
General Aftercare Tips:
- Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins released during your treatment.
- Rest & Relax: Allow your body time to absorb the effects of your session. Avoid intense activity and heavy lifting for the rest of the day if possible.
- Eat Lightly: Choose nourishing, light meals post-treatment to support your body’s digestion and detoxification.
- Avoid Alcohol & Caffeine: Give your body a break from stimulants so it can fully benefit from the calming effects of your treatment.
- Listen to Your Body: You may feel tired, emotional, or even slightly achy after your treatment — this is normal. Give yourself permission to slow down and rest.
Massage-Specific Aftercare:
- You may notice areas of tenderness or slight soreness – this is completely normal and usually fades within 24–48 hours.
- Avoid applying additional pressure (e.g., another massage or intense workout) to the treated areas for at least 24 hours.
- Keep warm to support circulation and muscle recovery.
Reflexology or Holistic Therapy Aftercare:
- Emotional responses such as tiredness, vivid dreams, or even a release of tears can be part of your body’s natural rebalancing.
- Journal your thoughts or feelings if helpful — emotional release is part of healing.
